C.H. Hanson is a family-operated manufacturing company that has operated in the Chicago area making hand tools, stamps, badges, and a variety of other products since its creation in 1866.As a member of the maintenance team I'm responsible for troubleshooting automated production machinery, identifying root causes of failures, and devising solutions. These solutions can range from replacing faulty electrical/pneumatic/mechanical components to designing and fabricating (machining and/or welding) new hardware, wiring harnesses, and plumbing. I also plan and run power (120/240/480V), air, water, and drains to new equipment.As time permits I also worked with our engineering team to resolve issues requiring hands-on experience in manual machining, electricity, PLCs, and pneumatics.

Mediasite is an enterprise video capture, delivery and management solution used by thousands of businesses and educational institutions.Drawing on my previous experience supporting and managing installations of Mediasite I analyzed data from customers - developing methods to proactively identify and resolve problems before they impacted customers. This involved application log file analysis via SQL, the creation of customized workflows in Salesforce to alert support staff to actionable events, and collaboration with Mediasite developers to improve logging of application and hardware events. Using Excel pivot charts & tables I shared the results of my analysis - and the corresponding impact on customers - with executive leadership on a monthly basis.
