The problem: Girls in my community were unable to afford the expenses of Prom and grade 8 graduation. Women who previously attended Prom had their dresses hanging in their closets unable to be reused. My solution: Create an organization where I allow women to lend their Prom dresses to girls. I collected over 200 Prom dresses as well as accessories, shoes and jewelry to complete their look. I hosted a "Pop up Prom Shop" which allowed the girls to come to my event and select the Prom dress of their dreams with no expense to them.
