I performed daily test of the mills waste water streams to find the amount of wasted pulp sent out of the mill.I was tasked with collecting pulp from numerous sources in order to make test product in order to make a large scale test of quality from various sources to compile the data for future use if new sources of pulp are needed.

As the intern I was tasked with taking and compiling daily test of the mills waste water streams and the amount of usable pulp that had been sent with it.I would also take daily readings on the machinery to find the draw of electricity by each machine in order to determine if new sensors were needed.I designed testing to find the cost effectiveness of using new types of chemicals over older types so that money could be potentially saved while keeping quality of product above acceptable limits.
