I am a Physician Scientist in Cardiology at Stanford University, continuing my training as a postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Tom Quertermous. I've completed an MD/PhD and my clinical training in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology. My interests are in the intersection of metabolic diseases like insulin resistance and diabetes with cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease. I am clinically interested in Preventive Cardiology and Lipidology. My basic science interests are in using human genetics and genomic techniques to identify novel therapeutic targets to reduce the impact of diabetes and insulin resistance on atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
