eSym provides online training to improve the quality of person-to-person communication guided by principles of motivational interviewing to enact behavior change. eSym has experience in many practice areas. eSym is currently under contract with Casey Family Programs to develop training videos that would promote MI’s use from the bench (i.e., Judges) and among court workers engaging child welfare involved families in the State of Michigan and beyond.In concert with the training effort among Judges, eSym has a contract with Casey Family Programs wherein our MI Deliberate Practice coaches train Tribal Child Welfare agencies in MI. Trainings have occurred with various Tribes and Nations across many states.eSym develops and delivers MI training live (grounded and via Zoom) and asynchronously through an online training Learning Management System (LMS). We have developed a robust video library of MI roleplays and MI training videos.eSym training has considerable experience teaching MI to case workers and clinicians. In 2021 eSym was awarded an MI training contract by the Utah Department of Human Services to train 1,000+ staff and caseworkers. In 2022, eSym was awarded a contract to train 1000+ learners for Los Angeles County Division of Child and Family Services and Probation, 300+ caseworkers for Colorado’s Office of Early Childhood and 72 care managers with SelectHealth, a nonprofit health plan serving more than a million members. Beyond these recent large awards, our system has been used to train caseworkers and clinicians in child welfare, mental health clinics, domestic violence, early school education, and child welfare courts. These organizations include American University, Association for Utah Community Health, DDI Vantage Early Head Start, Safe Harbor Crisis Center, Southern Ute Tribe Social Services, Stella’s Place, University of Utah Hospital, Salt Lake County Youth Services, and Utah Office for Victims of Crime.
