I am a member of Baker Tilly’s Professional Practice Group (PPG). I assist the PPG in evaluating and enhancing our firm’s audit methodology, including authoring and editing audit content and developing practice aids. I also consult with both engagement teams and clients on complex accounting issues, such as revenue recognition, debt vs. equity classification, variable interest entities, business combinations and asset impairment.Professionally, I am a member of the Center for Audit Quality’s (CAQ) Professional Practice Executive Committee (PPEC). The PPEC consists of a representative from each CAQ member firm that audits 50 or more issuers and has 500 or more CPAs. I am on various CAQ task forces, including the task forces on Audit Quality Indicators and on the Auditor’s Reporting Model. I am also a member of the PCAOB’s Data and Technology Task Force.I am an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). I served as the Chair of the working group that developed the AICPA’s Audit Data Analytics Guide. I am a former member of the AICPA's Technical Issues Committee (TIC). TIC advocates on behalf of CPA firms and their clients in the standard-setting process by reviewing and commenting on drafts of accounting and professional standards.
