Knowing that a lot of the things I did as a Graphic Designer at Brookdale weren't in my job description, I was promoted to Design Technologist and those things were added as official job duties. This means I continue to do everything listed under my Graphic Designer entry while pushing myself into new areas.I've also been honing my animation skills, creating fully animated training videos in After Effects and even doing the voice overs with my own voice. More recently I've been working on learning scripting and data merge in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign-allowing me to batch dozens or even hundreds of files without all the labor of making them manually.

• Designed print and digital pieces including flyers, brochures, banners and Pinterest pins.• Created videos and animated Pinterest pins for social and other channels, including shooting a video pin that garnered one of Brookdale's highest click through rates.• Continually analyzed workflows and techniques, introducing time saving tips such as saving 15-20 hours a month on a single project. Met with outside vendors to review new services or technologies that might be helpful to the marketing department.• Acted as ADA compliance lead, created numerous compliant PDFs and created a tutorial for designers on how to generate compliant PDFs.• Acted as the general file server librarian, managing an indexing search tool to easily and quickly find jobs on the server for the designers and the legal department.• Helped facilitate the choosing of a new Digital Asset Management system and communicated our needs to multiple vendors to find the right tool and facilitated moving our digital assets and design files to AEM Assets, cleaning up and organizing multiple terabytes of data to create the best possible structure.• Created a new production workflow centered around Adobe Experience Manager Assets and the Adobe Asset Link Creative Cloud plugin to allow for working completely off the cloud instead of an in-house file server.• Managed most of the admin for AEM Assets including offering weekly training sessions for staff and outside vendors and creating video tutorials on how to use the system.• Initiated a large re-brand job to bring all community collateral into current brand standards.• Shot photos of several company events, and at times shot my own photos for flyers when a good stock or internal photo couldn’t be found.• Acted as the main video shooter for in-house quarterly shoots at our communities.• Helped onboard new designers by creating an onboarding manual for new hires and acted as a liaison to help with any file access and brand design issues.

I worked through Creative Circle (who I highly recommend) as an on-site Graphic Designer at Brookdale. Andy Tyer has put together a wonderful in-house agency with a great working atmosphere. Brookdale loved my work so much that they hired me on full time.

Every year since 2002 (with the exception of 2011) I have been contracted (I am not an employee) to manage the event tech for the RNA annual conference each fall. I handle all audio, video and projection needs and deal with the on-site av company for any rental needs. I also create Keynote slides for sessions and breaks, and handle ALL speaker AV needs from slides to videos to special sound requests.I repeatedly save RNA thousands of dollars in rental fees. The staff trust that they don't have to worry about ANY of the AV during the conference.

I've known Nic and Rachael Billman for many years and volunteered along side them at many ministry events. Though not an employee, I am on a monthly contract to handle issues with their website and the periodically send broken Apple computers to me to repair. I've visited their base in Recife several times and plan to do so again in the future.

I created and ran KeynoteUser.com, a support site for users of Apple's Keynote software application. In its heyday it was THE place for all things Keynote and had quite a bit of traffic. As the years went on I had less and less time that I could spend on it until I finally closed it down in early 2018.

Oversaw a 75k record transition from a hosted service onto Joomla!/CiviCRM site including a custom event registration system. Launched multiple Joomla! event sites & online store. Launched and managed 2 Moodle school sites, saving the company over $12,000 a year. Managed on-demand, live webcasting and online customer service system for multiple events across the country. Managed several cloud servers. (The online store and website I created in 2011 have finally been replaced in 2018).

Note: The dates are a little fuzzy but I do know it was 2005.I was brought in to help streamline a production cycle for a school that was taking over a week. I spec'd out a new Mac based system along with a firewire video switcher to replace an unstable Video Toaster system. Production was shortened from a week to mastering the DVDs the day after class so they could be duplicated and sent out on the third day.The sold system was an all-in-one, so we couldn't edit while we were capturing. The new system let us start adding speaker titles and chapter markers after the first break and then finish up right after class and batch compress the DVD files over night to burn the next morning.I also had the privilege of traveling to Nottingham, England to video direct a pastors conference in March of 2005.

Served as primary designer for commercial four-color printing company, solved internal and customer problems, prepared files for film and plate printing.
