My work involves the later part of the SDLC - implementation and testing of computer systems (new or upgraded). Certified as a CISA with a background (+15 years) in IT Operations and Security. Candidate for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification. Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in areas of: System Administrator, Server Analyst, Information Systems Auditing (CISA), Computer Hardware, Network Security (SIEM - Arcsight) and Casino Gaming.

Member of a team to implement the TITO/Ezpay system for 27 casinos in Alberta. My duties involved troubleshooting, testing and support of the 27 casinos after the implementation. Designed and built mobile gaming computer system(s) to run up to 600 slot machines. These systems were used for Summer Fairs (ex. Calgary Stampede, Edmonton Capital X) in the Province of Alberta as mobile casino unira. The last 3 years with AGLC, I was in the newly created IT Security Division. With that experience I obtained certification with ISACA as a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor). Within the IT Security Division my duties involved SIEM (owner/admin of the HP Arcsight /w CORR engine), malware/virus detection and special projects.

I was part of a Server Analyst team responsible for maintaining a 3000-user IT environment encompassing various ATCO companies. In my role, I focused on supporting critical components such as the email system, Citrix farms, BES servers, domain controllers (DC), DNS servers, as well as member and application servers. I played a hands-on role in building, supporting, and maintaining these servers. My specific areas of expertise included Citrix, BES, MSExchange, backup and restore operations for data, and the management of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.Member of the team that helped in obtaining the CICA 5900 Certification for ATCO I-Tek.

I served as the Physical Tester at the Lafarge Cement Plant in Exshaw, Alberta, Canada. In this role, I oversaw the entire cement production process, ensuring its quality by conducting lab tests on the materials at various stages of manufacturing. My expertise was enlisted as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during a period when Lafarge had temporarily locked out its employees pending contract negotiations. Throughout my six-month tenure, we achieved unprecedented production records, and I played a key role in revamping the laboratory with new equipment provided by Lafarge.

My primary focus was in the field of Civil and Geotechnical Engineering, with a substantial portion of my work dedicated to 'water resources.' I specialized in the earthwork construction of dams, dikes, and canals. My responsibilities included managing instrumentation such as settlement cells, piezometers, inclinometers, sondex tubes, and settlement systems. Additionally, I conducted soil investigations involving drilling, split-spoon, and Shelby tube sampling. I performed laboratory analyses on soil and concrete samples, with expertise in concrete testing and inspection, holding CSA certification. My proficiency extended to both destructive and non-destructive testing methods. I also played a crucial role in establishing in-situ labs in remote construction areas.

I was a team member involved in the planning and oversight of the construction of the 'world's largest' tailing pond for the Cyprus Anvil Mining Corporation in the Yukon Territories, Canada. My responsibilities included conducting triaxial and direct-shear testing on soils and performing comprehensive laboratory analyses, encompassing Proctor, Atterberg Limits, hydrometer, and sieve analysis of soils. Additionally, I played a vital role in the supervision and inspection of various earthwork projects.
