Founded in 2014, Re:Current Theatre is a Vancouver/Toronto-based theatre company. RCT has adapted classical texts, reimagined scripted contemporary performance, written multi-media plays, created gamified interactive theatrical experiences and intimate encounters for one audience at a time, provided accessible development workshops, and continued to develop genre-bending work.Their work has been presented at festivals locally and nationally. We presented the Canadian Premiere of ‘The Smile Off Your Face’ by Ontroerend Goed, which won the SummerWorks Award for Best Production, received outstanding production recognitions from local press, and was featured on several “Best of the Year” lists. Re:Current Theatre is a member of the HIVE Performance Collective, which supported the presentation of a dozen new contemporary micro-performances at the Magnetic North Theatre Festival, and continues to work with the collective to support emerging performance practices on the west coast. They have been a company in residence at hub14, Impulse theatre, and are grateful for the development support of our projects from The Theatre Centre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Suitcase in Point, and Cabaret Company.Some Key Achievements:• Formulate and monitor six-figure budgets, ensuring no fiscal loss.• Successful acquisition of grants from multiple levels of government and 3rd parties to fund development, production, touring, and community engagement initiatives for this indie company that runs on a project to project basis.• Produce new work, hire creatives, participate in festivals and write grants.• Garnered funds for 7 financially solvent live productions to audiences in Toronto, St. Catharines, Kingston, Victoria, North Vancouver, Vancouver, as well as virtual productions including work internationally in Taipei.

• Develop long-term structure and visioning for financial and artistic longevity of company programming.• Produce Matriarchs Uprising Festival to uphold contemporary Indigenous Dance across Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand.• Increase organizational capacity through acquisition of grants, mentorship opportunities, and developing cultural connections.• Collaborate with year-round & seasonal staff on marketing, production, and administration of company tour and festival programs.Worked as Grant Writer and Project Producer from March 2021 before transitioning to Managing Producer in October of that year.

Contract lecturer for the following courses as Toronto Metropolitan University's Performance at the Creative School:Advanced Performance Tech I: Acting (Module: Conversations) - course delivered to acting students from years one, two, three, and four once per week. Covering a variety of topics engaging the artist in dialogue on how to hold space for conversation and to turn discomfort into inquiry.Creative Performance Studies - first year performance making course. Responding to the provocation "what is performance?" as students engage in a multiplicity of performance making frameworks and processes.

Production Technology (Spring 2021) with Kyla Gardner – Facilitated online course focused on sewing and needlework. Context of Theatre (Fall 2020) with Steven Hill & Kyla Gardner – Defining contemporary performance in light of COVID. Facilitated online discussion, co-created curriculum, and assisted in tutoring, thesis generation, feedback and marking.Production Technology (Fall 2018/Spring 2019) with John Macfarlane – Introduction to processes, tools and technology used in production; Woodworking and safe use of production tools; oversaw crew calls for lighting and set builds.Advanced Studio Skills (Spring 2018) with Steven Hill - Mainstage devised production; Assistant director, facilitating rehearsals, including warm-ups, acting exercises and scene work.Context of Theatre (Fall 2017) with DD Kugler - Shakespeare’s Hamlet and contemporary adaptations; Tutored students, assisted with text analysis, thesis generation and paper revision.

Conceived, researched, developed, and executed successful apprenticeship/mentorship program for Contemporary Art Masters candidates at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver (under Barbara Adler)Research and development of new Student Learning Outcomes and Educational Goals from undergraduate to graduate level courses at the School for Contemporary Arts (under Christopher Pavsek)

• Produced, curated, and hosted a 20-project series of multi-discipline live performance events in Theatre Passe Muraille’s Mainspace, transforming a previously unattended program to sold-out houses.• Facilitated network, feedback, and engagement opportunities by designing a collaborative framework between emerging and established artists and the broader arts community.• Mentored under Associate Artistic Producer, Jiv Parasram with a focus on community engagement initiatives and event curation.

• Mentored directly under Producer, Sherrie Johnson, with a focus on artistic producing, administrative oversight, and a healthy dose of contemporary North American live performance history.• Oversaw budget tracking and expense monitoring for the Artistic Department; coordinated logistics for artistic and administrative projects, including contracting artists, securing visas and passports, and planning and delivering audience engagement events.

• Programmed week-long workshops and panels, engaging dozens of emerging artists across Canada.• Lowered access barriers to participants by providing application assistance, French translation, and reducing program costs.• Created a communal space through workshops and discussion forums, for provocative conversations on arts ecology in Canada.

• Contributed to strategic and artistic planning, resulting in creation of the Director’s Lab and The Intersection, an arts conference for emerging artists.• Developed and executed marketing strategies across digital and print channels; designed the first book bound festival program. • Assisted artists aged 14 – 29 in mentorship capacity developing marketing assets for their productions.

• Contributed to company health, writing grants, managing database, reviewing and monitoring budgets, organizing physical and digital archives, and collaborating on a 2-year strategic plan.• Coordinated youth outreach programming, creating educational show guides in line with Ontario high school curriculum and personally booking a dozen classes for shows and private workshops.• Developed graphic design content for website, social media, and developed promo video material.

• Spearheaded development, and produced more than 11 new plays by students as part of the 75th and 76th U of T Drama Festival.• Initiated 1st annual student-led production, accessible to all students on campus regardless of discipline.• Co-created University of Toronto Drama Coalition Awards to recognize outstanding achievement in student plays.
