Brian Satz is an Emmy-nominated producer and composer with more than two decades of experience in film, music and event production. Satz has been a producer or composer of critically acclaimed, award winning films and television series such as Nas: Time Is Illmatic, The Two Escobars, Viola Davis's The Last Defense, Momentum Generation and more. Brian co-executive produced the film Brooklyn Castle, which won the Documentary Spotlight award at SXSW. From 2013 until 2023, Brian worked as the Producer and Musical Director for Harry Belafonte, producing content for film, theater, live performances and festivals. Satz has performed and produced with musical artists such as Sting, Jay Z, Maxwell, Beyonce, Aloe Blacc, John Legend, Pistolera, Blitz ‘The Ambassador’ Bazawule, The Roots, John Forté, and more. Recently he has worked as a producer on films slated to premiere in 2024 for Westbrook Studios, Amazon Studios, The Springhill Company, and the upcoming documentary “Following Harry”, about Mr Belafonte’s social justice and artistic legacy.
