Provision of Gas Design Consultancy and Project Management for UK and overseas. Although a Transmission Engineer at heart, recent focus has been on Biogas to Biomethane for injection to grid. Now working on a major overseas project having completed 15 projects in UK utilising chemical wash, water wash and membrane technologies together with a range of gas blending and enrichment technologies. Most notable project recently was SGN's Virtual Pipeline where I was responsible for managing the large number of designers and suppliers involved, managing Hazops, providing online web conferencing facilities for progress, design and contract meetings, as well as providing consultancy and design support.I also produce and deliver generic and bespoke Technical and Management Training Programmes covering a range of gas industry topics including HP and IP pipelines, corrosion prevention, coatings and painting, and cover training on documents such as TD/3, TD/1 and TD/13 together with related documents such as SR and GL suites. Currently writing a new suite of pipeline engineering courses. Also qualified as an A1 Assessor and V1 Verifier and provided NVQ4 delivery in the gas industry.In addition, the company is also building a reputation in the arena of Live Event Management, Technical Theatre, Lighting, Sound and Video Recording, and Stage Management for live shows. Following my previous success I was invited to lead the fledgling Gas Group that grew to £1m turnover with a team of 15 people. This was another opportunity for me to demonstrate my ability to develop a successful team of professional Engineers and Managers who delivered major Gas Pipeline projects for Transco and other clients. I also developed a role looking after graduate and apprentice training, mentoring and schools liaison and was a runner up in the 2003 National Gas Industry Training Awards for my personal contribution to training in the industry. One of my graduates won the award in 2004.

This was a highly demanding role in which I took a Greenfield company to a £1m pa turnover in two years and gained a position as a recognized UK design house for high integrity design and project management, for the gas and related industries. The role focused on business development, marketing, maximizing profits, staff development, Health & Safety, Environmental Issues and acting as the focus for a growing team of engineers in a highly competitive market. I was a key member of several initiatives during the formative years of the organization including planning and finance management, and the introduction of a Quality Management System
