Brian coordinated, recruited, trained and organized 619 volunteers assigned to 378 locations for Mayor Bloomberg’s visibility project in Northern Manhattan with a focus on key message delivery. Brian assisted and implemented strategies to “get out the vote” with a focus on Latino outreach, oversaw every-day office activities, and provided constituent services to successfully re-elect Mayor Bloomberg to office.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Brian was commissioned by a private-public partnership, where he worked and lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina to research their free public healthcare system. In addition to writing his thesis, Brian also created and delivered “know your rights” trainings around access to free medical care. Research showed that a large portion of the health issues suffered by the local community was directly related to diet. Therefore, he additionally partnered with a local fresh produce market to educate the public on the advantages of healthy eating and its direct correlation to your health.

La Romana, Dominican Republic

Brian was commissioned by the City University of New York School of Law to go to the Dominican Republic where he lived and worked in an orphanage. During this time, Brian created and implemented a human rights project to successfully shut down a massive trash dump that was burning its garbage nightly, causing significant respiratory health problems for the children.
