Retired Navy, current graduate student, and ordained Christian minister, residing in the northern DWF area seeking a career/opportunity in healthcare administration (open to relocation).I recall being so excited to turn 18 because that meant the next day I could start my new nursing assistant job at the local nursing home? However, I was in for an education, the memory of being understaffed, the overtime, but most importantly the relationships I never envisioned. Those are what I remember today, not the paycheck, not the long hours the smiles on the face of the residence, and how they were the ones who helped me, that feeling of being part of their family❤️! Over 30 years later and I still want to go back to my first lot of geriatric care.Having joined the military and never imagining that I would make a career of it, I just wanted to see the world. When I retired in 2016 I was the regional director of health services. Though over the years I moonlight as often as an EMT or volunteer firefighter always wanting to help make others' lives easier.Hoping to find an administrator-n-training position with a long-term care facility to continue my training and utilize my experience as a healthcare administrator and technician so that I may serve the largest growing population in the world, our mentors, family member, and friends who reside in assisted living or long-term care facilities.Feel free to reach out I reply to all emails, brianraycook@yahoo.com!
