Technical Lead, Software Engineer Iii, Software Engineer Ii
Current- Lead the planning, design, and development efforts to port and upgrade the unified communications software stack from legacy SysV to SystemD.- Played an integral role in the hiring process of software engineers and SDETs. This included new-hire training, coaching, design, and code review.- Implemented an automated build and continuous integration pipeline with Jenkins Declarative. This included automated build triggers with GIT and integrations with GitLab and Slack to track the build status of pull requests.- Developed an extensible package building infrastructure to manage the artifacts for the new unified communications platform.- Developed a C module for FreeSWITCH that interpolated events in real time by translating them into a MySQL database so that we could have the data necessary to drive a near real-time visual conference monitor.- Designed and developed the middleware and front-end for an interactive visual conference monitor portal. Extensive debugging, performance tuning, and maintenance of a real-time communication soft-switch media platform built on C.- Extensive debugging with network packet analyzing tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.- Designed and developed an aggregate-based ACD Supervisor portal to monitor live call distribution queues that allowed supervisors to be able to monitor their agents’ live status.- Lead the effort to replace physical development and test systems with virtual machines for flexibility, efficiency, and resiliency.- Designed and developed an aggregate-based, summary reporting tool. This allowed for live manipulation and filtering of data, as well as the ability to export to PDF.- Lead the design and development effort to replace a limited socket-based configuration protocol with a stateless and secure servlet to facilitate configuration and firmware updates for in-house endpoints.- Experience with black-box, functional, regression, smoke, stress, and load testing.
