As founder and president of Redman Communications, I offer clients more than 35 years of advertising, marketing and public relations experience that has enabled me to develop insights into consumer behavior to communicate effectively with target audiences.A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, I began my professional career writing for The Washington Post and simultaneously working at ABC News. After a four-year stint doing pr-publicity at the Capital Centre arena, I made brief stops at two of the area's top ad agencies before reconnecting with my sports roots as VP of Communications for ProServ and its roster of superstar athletes. It was there that I began blending my writing skills and publicity talents, securing national tv and print exposure for the firm's 100+ clients.As VP at DW+A, I worked with national industry leaders in creating and promoting their sports marketing activities. I had a hand in USF&G's title sponsorship of the Sugar Bowl, managed Chrysler's and P & G's sponsorship of the first-ever National Hockey League All-Star Fan Balloting program and worked on Audi's overall sports promotional activities.Prior to opening RC in 1990, I was part of a public-private sector coalition that produced public service campaigns to combat drinking and driving. I helped coordinate national media events and wrote scripts and assisted in the production of tv and radio spots with national sports figures. Our agency has focused on working with small businesses and start-ups looking to introduce a product or service and distinguish it from competitors. We have earned high marks for our hard work—and the consistent results those efforts have helped achieve for our clients.
