About Brian Gomez
At Lockheed Martin as an HR Business Partner, I have centered my focus on enhancing the employee experience. One of the best ways I've found to be able to do that is to build relationships with leaders and coach/develop those leaders into stronger people leaders by partnering on strategic human capital strategies that elevate business priorities. When business success is primarily built off people success, the chances of long-term engagement and motivation are stronger. Before interning at Lockheed Martin, I sharpened my HR skills by combining my communication skills and my attention to detail to solve problems and assist HR and business professionals on how to utilize our HRIS software to manage their people. I worked with our clients by relaying simple, easy-to-understand instructions so those we serve can be set free from paperwork and focus on the organizational health and employees in their respective companies. Prior to my time at Bamboo, I was part of a BYU On-Campus Internship with 3P&T Security Recruiting. At 3P&T, I I implemented a new ATS, discovered better ways to recruit, interview, and implemented sourcing passive candidate strategies; resulting in a 35% increase in 3P&T’s recruiting efficiency.Over the years I have had valuable HR experiences throughout my working career. At Land Rover, I led an initiative to train employees on harassment and instigated the redistribution of employee-conduct manuals. At the MTC, I conducted regular performance interviews, documented confidential reports, and oversaw training and development in my area. Finally, at the Nozani I participated in interviews, oversaw event planning and employee morale evaluation. In addition to this work experience, I currently am studying at Brigham Young University, pursuing a Business degree in Human Resource Management. A large portion of our lives are spent in the workplace and away from the people we care about most. Work should be a place where employees feel happy, safe, respected and valued by their employer. Unfortunately in too many instances, the opposite is the case and I have added a new focus to my life to serve the employee and help them achieve their potential by becoming future leaders.
