About Brian Rome, Mba

► As an awarding-winning Operations Executive, I position growing or struggling manufacturing companies for long-term growth, sale, merger, acquisition or succession transition. I develop long-term business strategies, optimizing operational processes to improve responsiveness to the customer while improving the bottom line. ► Versare is a company that we positioned to grow! As the Vice President of Operations, I oversaw Production, Supply Chain, Facilities, and whatever else I needed to do to make us better. Through the implementation of the Lean and EOS methodologies, we more than doubled our output (and EBITDA) in 19 months, prompting an earlier than expected sale of the company.► As the Interim COO and EOS Integrator with MinMor, I led 160 employees focused on creating the best products for customers including Walmart, Target, Lowe's, and restaurants and retailers with their customized consumer experiences and promotions.► With Sign-Zone, I led Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Graphics, Maintenance, and Facilities for 175 multi-shift and multi-location employees. I drove the transformation from a traditional manufacturer to a value stream focus.► As an operations manufacturing leader with other companies, I created strategies and implemented Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies that established best practices, streamlined processes, and positioned the companies for growth. ► I am a lifelong manufacturer. My first job, at 10 years old, was filling pop machines for my Dad’s manufacturing company in Guttenberg, IA. As we walked around the factory, Dad would always ask “What would improve my business?” From those days, I adapted to the PDCA approach. ► My approach:• Plan: Recognize an opportunity and plan a change.• Do: Boldly, make the change.• Check: Review the change, analyze the results and identify what we’ve learned.• Act: Take action based on what we’ve learned. Did the change work? If yes, standardize the process. If no, take what we learned and repeat the PDCA cycle.► Contact Brian.A.Rome@gmail.com
