Conducted biological field work related to the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill including sampling areas in the Gulf of Mexico from Florida to Louisiana. The scope of these projects ranges from assessing tissue and gonad condition of oysters to enumeration of live resources to mapping of intertidal oyster beds.

Interned under Dr. Jim Griffin at the Florida Center for Community Design and Research on a Lake Assessment Program. Collected field data from various Hillsborough lakes and rivers to determine the overall health of the water body. Successfully identified aquatic and wetland plant species. Collected water samples to be analyzed by the Environmental Protection Commission. Integrated field data to a GIS based database.
