Graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University, Sacramento Campus. Throughout my healthcare education and training, I have served as the Class Representative for the 2020 Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing cohort, a Health Assessment and Pediatrics Teaching Assistant, and a Peer Academic Tutor. A majority of my clinical nursing experience has been at UC Davis Medical Center, and I proudly precepted in the Neuro-Surgical Intensive Care Unit.I also have over 16 years of professional experience working in Higher Education. I most recently worked at San Francisco State University since January of 2014, and left my position as Interim Associate Dean for Student Life and Director of New Student Programs, prior to starting a new chapter in my life.Prior to SF State, I had been associated with new student orientation/transition/retention programming, parent and family programs at Clemson University since 2009, after previously working in Residence Life as and Student & Campus Activities.During my professional tenure, it has been both my challenge and pleasure to reconstruct and involve myself in many aspects of the initiatives, programs and services we offer to the health care and educational community.
