Design, document, and lead technical infrastructure implementation for a variety of solutions including B2B web services, server virtualization (VMware and z/VM), Multiprotocol NAS, and web portals. Served as a trusted advisor between business unit and IT Infrastructure Services. Analyze and coordinate solutions for performance and availability issues. Maintain capacity models for the virtualized environments. Manage the infrastructure technology roadmap and gap analysis for both programs. Key Accomplishments:• Lead infrastructure architect for implementation of New York's Health Exchange implemented as part of the Affordable Care Act. Solution is a medium sized footprint of over 200 virtual guests and a small standalone footprint using a standard 3 tier architecture hosting a custom java application with a DB2 LUW backend, web services, and EDI along with a financial management platform. The exchange launched successfully avoiding some of the challenges experienced by the federal and other state solutions.• Lead infrastructure architect for eMedNY HIPAA 5010 implementation resulting in significant process flow changes including implementation of IBM MQ and NAS. The New York Medicaid system is one of the largest Medicaid systems and was the first to be HIPAA 5010 compliant.• Architected and led implementation of the eMedNY VMware virtualized environment now consisting of 5 clusters (19 nodes) supporting over 400 virtual machines. Championed and lead implementation of edge SAN switching. Led physical to virtual conversion efforts and currently maintain capacity models.

Infrastructure architecture assignment at CSC supporting the New York State Medicaid System (eMedNY). Converted business requirements into conceptual and logical technology models. Key Accomplishments:• Lead the infrastructure design and implementation of DataPower XI50s to support several web service initiatives. Worked to create roles and responsibility matrix for the various support teams including the development team.

Worked with stakeholders to create business cases based upon internal customer requirements and external RFPs. Designed, documented, and managed implementation of a variety of solutions including B2B web services, data warehouses (200GB - 64TB), business intelligence, campaign management, and portals. Provided budgetary guidance and tracked operational and capital expense appropriations for over 200 distributed systems (50% Windows, 50% AIX, Solaris, and Linux). Focused on reducing a 40 million dollar business unit IT operational budget. Served as liaison between business unit and global technology services.
