Well known for generosity, excellent bedside manner, and ability to make people feel at ease regardless of the emergency. ⚕ My passion for giving back, especially to EMS, stems from my dad and my brother, both of whom are leaders in fire departments. I grew up at the fire house, did ride-a-longs, and once I went to the Army…I truly got involved. Now I stand committed to give back and serve my community with a special focus on veterans.⚕ I proudly served my country as a medical physician in the U.S. Army, both at home and abroad. I was able to establish infrastructure at a German base camp and earn honors and commendations in the course of service. ⚕ As part of my mission to serve the entire community, I helped launch a volunteer squad of EMTs to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and care services to rural areas, minimizing the need for long-distance travel to hospitals for in-home treatable conditions. ⚕ I also function as a Clinical Instructor for the highest-performing 3rd and 4th year medical students to provide them with real-world application of classroom teachings. This immersive experience helps to prepare them for what they will surely face as doctors. I am adamant about keeping up with the latest trends in medical advancements, this way I can provide the best, most up-to-date care, to all my patients. In addition to my required CME units, I review several Lifelong Learning & Self-Assessment (LLSA) Articles. A few recent reviews include Pediatric Emergency Medicine, High-Sensitivity Troponin in Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), Modern Treatment and Detection of ACS, Tracheostomy, Modern Intubation, Treating Severe Asthma in Children, Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), and I make it a point to attend the Airway Conferences. My main hobby is exercise, even in the bitter North Dakota cold weather, I’ll head to the YMCA, but when the sun comes out, I can be found walking 5+ miles through my town.
