Restaurant Supervisor/In Room Dining Supervisor

•Supervise staff of 20 servers, runners, bussers, bartenders, and hosts•Schedule staff of 6 in-room dining staff • Coordinate with concierge to deliver guest amenities in a timely manner • Ensure that staff members are compensated for delivery of amenities and room service orders• Assign amenity expenses to appropriate business units• Ensure room service items are removed from hallways and guest rooms in a timely manner• Handle all guest recovery issues to the satisfaction of the guest • Assist room service and restaurant server with opening and closing sidework duties• Follow up to make ensure that all door hanger breakfast orders are processed in time for delivery• Check all email and calendar invites to ensure that any pop up amenities or prior requests are processed on time• Review all guest surveys and keep abreast of all possible guest shops to better represent the Kimpton brand• Expedite food from kitchen to ensure speedy service to guests•Ensure that coffee station in lobby is clean, well stocked, and broken down in a timely manner• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to inform staff of menu changes and to reinforce service standards and company expectations • Conduct one on one discussions to praise employees for exceptional performance • Review sidework checklist to ensure that the outgoing shift has prepared the incoming shift for success • Encourage feedback and constructive criticism. Front line employees are the best resource in regard to streamlining processes and implementing scientific management techniques that will save the company time and money over the course of time.
