I currently work as Senior Test Engineer for Thomson Reuters as the Akkadia team's primary tester. The Akkadia team is part of the larger IHN team. The IHN team is Thomson Reuters to go team for any Thomson project looking to break into the Cloud. On the Akkadia team specifically we design micro-services using Amazon Web Services technologies. These micro-services are deployed into our own environments where it is my job to test the web service/API endpoints using Java, Junit, SNS/SQS to ensure they are ready for release to consumers. I have been on the team since its inception and have built the testing framework from the ground up. Along with the tools listed previously I use a combination of other tools to create automated regression, scale, and performance tests both for the micro-services individually and for scenarios where they are deployed to an environment together. My job duties include bug discovery, reporting, and validation, monitoring all test results, determining bug priority, perform code reviews, manual testing, story planning, and sprint planning. Currently I am working on transitioning regression, smoke, scale, and performance tests to fit into a continuous deployment model. I also helped to develop the chaos testing framework and scenarios out team has performed on various aspects of our services.Prior to working on the Akkadia team I was a part of the DataRoom team where my responsibilities were similar to those of the Akkadia team. The DataRoom team was a large team consisting of roughly thirty developers and nine testers. As part of the DataRoom team one of my major accomplishments was creating and implementing the usage of coding standards and code review guidelines leading to increased code stability and a more smooth release process to consumers.

I worked as a Software Engineering Intern doing Quality Assurance testing for Thomson Reuters on their Law School Project. I used Selenium WebDriver with C# and .Net to write automated regression tests that verified website functionality. I assisted with manual testing, code reviews, and filing bug reports as well. I also participated in daily stand-up and planning meetings. The agile development methodology kept the project interesting and constantly changing. Occasionally, I also worked on two other projects when needed as an additional tester.
