Developed and implemented a coverage assessment methodology to assess the effectiveness of and prioritize enhancements to AML surveillance systems. Constructed and managed an AML Analytics team within the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), responsible for providing intelligence obtained via analytics to stakeholders to help detect and deter money laundering and terrorist financing.

Managed the day to day operations of the AML monitoring program for high risk embassy, foreign mission and diplomatic client base. Developed and implemented policies and procedures, made decisions for reporting suspicious activity and staff planning and provided guidance on AML issues.

Drove large-scale re-design of the Compliance function, including the introduction and standardization of audit procedures, issues tracking, and management reporting. Implemented several business-wide policies and procedures and managed large-scale projects to improve operational compliance. Developed and managed an audit team of 6 employees in India and developed management reporting which helped Sr. Management drive compliance with federal regulations from 85% to 94%. Also responsible for development and implementation of information security and privacy program.

Drove several departmental and company-wide technology-related process improvements. Managed several large-scale project implementations, which helped drive $390MM incremental volume, improved deal cycle time by 43 days and enhanced analytical capabilities of the business by developing and introducing innovative technology tools. Completed a six-week international rotation in Tokyo, Japan, helping GE Real Estate Japan’s business expansion by improving technology processes and managing several large-scale projects.
