About Brian Cohn
As an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in finance and risk management - insurance, I'm constantly on the lookout for opportunities to obtain hands-on experience in the world of finance and insurance. I'm working hard to create a strong foundation of technical skills and industry knowledge as I prepare to add a second degree in finance & economics. But beyond just learning concepts in the classroom, I strive to actively apply my developing expertise in real-world settings.I was happy to accept an intense finance internship with TowneBank last summer, which provided me with important front-line training in areas such as credit analysis, lending, risk modeling, and client contacts. I have recently got the opportunity to work on an academic research project that used econometric analysis to investigate difficult economic theories using real-world data. Opportunities like this have enabled me to find my true interests in the industry while also obtaining practical skills. As I consider the next stages in my career, I'm looking to embrace an experience in finance and risk management - insurance in the Summer of 2025.
