I was responsible for managing and providing ongoing risk control support for 48 assigned accounts. Approximately $8.6 million in revenue. This position required risk analysis of new and existing accounts, marketing Travelers to clients via on site facility and job site visits, and providing technical risk control solutions. My areas were Richmond VA, South and Central VA, and some in NC. Job sites visited were located on commercial properties and on military base sites.- Conducted loss control surveys at client locations to determine potential hazards and risk factors.- As the Southeast regional risk control specialist for fire sprinkler contractors, I provided ongoing risk control support both internally and for regional clients.- Reviewed and analyzed loss trends for general liability, workers compensation, auto, and inland marine lines of insurance to make effective recommendations to prevent losses.- Position required selling risk control recommendations to clients to prevent losses/- Served as a technical resource to account executives in Travelers underwriting department to develop new business, and retain business.- Required to write technically detailed reports to assess risk and articulate recommendations to clients.- Worked and contributed as a team player with internal team members, clients, insurance brokers, and agents.- Provided safety training for clients to help identify workplace hazards, fleet safety, accident investigations, and accident prevention.
