Central/Secondary Alarm Station Operator at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, dispatching officers to respond to and assess intrusion alarms around perimeter and within plant.KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:• Escorted and observed persons/property to protect against thefts, irregularities and unauthorized entries.• Inspected buildings and vehicles for contraband and illegal items using search techniques involving persons, packages and vehicles.• Responded to and assessed security, fire alarms and emergency incidents in a timely manner.• Completed tri-annual tactical range training.• Served as representative for ALPHA team Safety Committee (Seabrook Station).

Answered and attended to 4 Emergency E911 phone lines and 6 business lines. Dispatched Fire/Police/EMS as necessary. Updated station’s daily call log to keep officers informed.KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:• Ran warrant checks in Warrant Management System and registration checks on all vehicles called in by officers.• Entered missing persons and stolen items in the Law Enforcement Assistance and Partnership Strategy computer program.• Trained new hires in all dispatching duties.
