Looking to create their first mobile development team, Emerson Process Management (EPM) hired Brian on as the Digital Councils Mobile Development Lead. They quickly placed him on the Mobile Center of Excellence in a position to oversee development strategies for their 12 subsidiary companies. Brian helped manage mobile applications for iOS and android. He was in charge of overseeing third party vendors development adhering to Emerson Corporate’s, EPM’s parent company, strict guidelines for development and data security. He also lead the development of their first mobile website. He helped guide the direction for consolidating their verbose desktop website into a streamlined mobile friendly website displaying information many products.

Sole proprietor of a web development & design firm. Primary role as a Web Developer. In 2007 Brian co-founded an online ticketing company that serviced festivals and large events. He created a custom platform to handle high volume, concurrent e-commerce sales, ticket generation and management. He also created a ticket fulfillment process and a check-in system. As technology improved so did the check-in system. It began as a desktop web application using laptops and corded barcode scanners. Brian lead the growth of the system developing into using industry standard wireless handheld devices, and eventually into an iOS application. This final application utilized the onboard camera and optionally a third party case to scan barcodes which created a fast process for validating tickets in real time. He overcame obstacles such as off-line availability and fully synchronized data for multiple check-in entrance points.
