I am a partner in the Intellectual Property Group of Duane Morris LLP. As a litigator and legal counselor, I guide clients through matters involving patent, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, copyright and unfair competition law. I am a well-established and trusted adviser for my clients, with a comprehensive understanding of the legal, technical and commercial elements of my clients' enterprises. My extensive experience includes representing companies for matters in the toy, consumer goods, cannabis, auction, medical device, telecommunications, Internet/e-commerce, finance and banking industries. With over 25 years of experience, I am a recognized authority in intellectual property litigation matters. I represent companies in head-to-head competitor and “bet the company” patent litigation, as well as joint defense group (JDG) patent actions against non-practicing entities (NPEs), also known as "patent trolls." I have also developed patent risk management strategies for large U.S. and European companies that wish to reduce the risk of patent infringement issues. I am fluent in patent review processes under the America Invents Act, including inter partes review, covered business method review and post-grant review proceedings. I also have extensive experience involving trademark and copyright enforcement and litigation, managing patent and trademark portfolios, and advising on all aspects of patent and trademark prosecution. As a direct result of the trust and satisfaction of one of my longstanding clients, I was named to the BTI Client Service All-Star Team in 2013. Previously, I was recognized as one of the "Top 50 Lawyers Under 45" by IP Law and Business Magazine. I take the role of trusted adviser very seriously and ensure my clients feel recognized and secure. My hands-on approach to litigation and counseling means you can always find me.
