Utilize patch deployment software (Microsoft WSUS Server and Red Hat Yum Repositories) toupdate vulnerable systems/software. Mitigation also includes editing Microsoft Group Policy/Registrysettings, Linux configuration files, BASH Shell scripts, SELinux policies, and firewall rules to ensurehardened systems are in compliance with WSMR Cybersecurity policies.Accountable for RMF Security Control validation by the U.S. Army ATEC internal Security Control-Validator (SCA-V) and the WSMR Cybersecurity Office.Also, integrate mission specific software to work on hardened systems, troubleshoot and report or fixsoftware. Responsible for analyzing new hardware and software for deployment on the mission network.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Engineer/Software Integration Engineer for the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems at White Sands Missile Range. Linux Systems Engineering implementation included CMMI Software/Network Engineering Methodology (Level 3), installation, configuration and integration of Future Combat Systems (FCS) simulation applications. Systems integration included troubleshooting of key FCS applications; installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (versions 4 and 5), Linux BASH Shell scripting, and Linux network problem analysis. The U.S. Army awarded us the 2009 Army Modeling and Simulation Award for support of a system-wide FCS mission test at White Sands Missile Range, NM.

This included the development of intranet applications using the CMMI Macroscope Software Engineering Methodology (Level 3), Adobe ColdFusion 7 Web Application Server/Dreamweaver MX 2004, Eclipse IDE 3.2 (ColdFusion CFEclipse plug-in), Fusebox 3 Web Application Standard, JavaScript 1.7, HTML 4, iPlanet LDAP Directory Services, Oracle 10g PL/SQL Stored Procedures and an Oracle 10g Database Server running on a UNIX/IBM AIX 5L Operating System. Applications included a transactional property system to track and report NASA assets that are in The Boeing Company’s custody. The system was audited and approved by DCAA auditors for U.S. Government reporting. Further, the system was promoted as a common system that is being used to track property among all of The Boeing Company’s federal and military contracts.

Database Applications Development contract for NASA’s International Space Station. The contract included the design and development of database applications for data loads, data maintenance, and reporting of Space Station operations and Space Shuttle flight manifest collaboration. Back-end development included the creation of Oracle 8i PL/SQL Stored Procedures and Packages, and SQL*Loader scripts on a UNIX/Sun Solaris 8 Server. Front-end development included the creation and maintenance of Visual Basic applications. The applications executed back-end Oracle Stored Procedures for data extraction into Excel Spreadsheets. Development included the use of Visual Basic 6, Excel 2000, ODBC for Oracle and Windows 2000 Professional.
