As an executive leader, my philosophy is to foster a flexible, dynamic work environment enabling leaders to successfully execute their jobs and allowing employees to feel empowered.I strive to create unity of command and leadership—avoiding a silo mentality. It is imperative to establish an environment where employees proceed without fear of repercussion versus waiting for approval. I expect leaders to give their employees direction while empowering them to execute. Nonetheless, established boundaries and standards of work are necessary so there is a framework for how we operate. Our operational objectives are key, but our employees need to come first. If we take care of our employees, they will reciprocate. Without the employees, we have no company. The rules give us the guidelines we require, yet we need flexibility when it comes to the employees. We should never lose sight of the humanity and the responsibility we owe our stakeholders.
