Parks And Recreation Program Manager
CurrentAdministration:• Oversee recreation, events, social services, and senior meal program• Supervise 4 full-time, 2 part-time, 5 on-call staff and 24 contract instructors• Manage Parks and Recreation General and Senior Services budgets totaling $1.6 million• Collaborate on Parks and Recreation Capital Improvement Project budget and implementation • Solicit alternate funding sources which has resulted in the development of a disc golf course, an off-leash dog park, a nature play area (ORPA's Deisgn and Construction Project of the Year - 2022), and funding to complete a feasibility study for a non-motorized boat dock and ADA access to the river.• Facilitate Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and support Korean War Memorial Foundation of Oregon, Wilsonville Community Seniors Inc. and Wilsonville Tourism Promotion Committee. Facility and Park Management:• Operate multi-generational Community Center • Analyze department facility use in an effort to maximize programs and revenue potential• Created ‘Dynamic Pricing’ structure for park facilities to drive additional revenue during peak seasons• Draft department related policies including City Sports Field Allocation and Event Management Guidelines.• Approve special events managed by outside organizations including site plan approval with consideration to public safety, park/road operations, public impact, and compliance with City codes and park rules. Event list includes: Sport Tournaments, Concerts, Art Festival, Farmers Market and road races Planning and Project Management:• Guided Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Master Plan, Regional and Community Park Master Plans • Lead conceptual design process of 10 acre sport-field focused park • Cost analysis of recreation and sports-related projects in preparation for Parks Bond • Facilitated RFP process for feasibility of indoor sport and entertainment facility• Design and implementation of Oregon Korean War Memorial Interpretive Center
