This work involved 3rd party requests and highway relocations, along with immediate response to and support for network outages due to fiber cuts. Duties required consideration of other utilities in the area of MCI’s proposed new construction, consideration of safe practices and procedures for the contractors to follow when installing new MCI facilities, and incorporating the relevant statutes, regulations and industry standards regarding excavation practices, including excavation in the vicinity of underground utilities, into the construction drawings and project specifications.
