I've been studying databases ever since I learned to write random-access files to floppy discs on my father's TRS-80 back in the 1980's. I've migrated a mini-mainframe PICK R91 database to Microsoft SQL Server using MS Access to help scrub the data. I've used MySQL in a LAMP environment for web sites. My core language is SQL, but my core strengths are my eagerness to teach and willingness to learn. I am a perpetual student, always interested in finding better solutions and new methods. I believe tools need to be easier to use than circumvent. I believe in Agile, test-driven development, and delivery automation. I believe the User Experience is King.
