Member of the Executive Team and lead the Operations organization in the production of Center Console Sportfishing boats near the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Regulator fabricates fiberglass parts used in the production of their boats using open mold, closed mold and infusion technologies and performs all final assembly operations. Key functional areas in the Operations organization include Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials/Logistics, Customer Service, and Maintenance.• Led the team to implement a 25% output increase through workflow optimization and improved production scheduling. This increase enabled us to exceed the annual revenue target by 10%.• Implemented 5S kaizens to drive improvement in organization and cleanliness throughout the facility and created sufficient storage space to accommodate over 50 new product molds.• Project manager to launch the largest boat in company history. Served as primary liaison between Operations and the product design team to design the new model and implement into production. The team was responsible for approving production molds, designing/sourcing components, building prototypes, developing Bills of Material (BOM), writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and completing the first article for release to dealers, customers and the public.• Improved the problem solving process using Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology focusing on Root Cause Analysis beginning at the floor level.• Implemented integrated quality checks throughout manufacturing that focused on identifying and correcting quality issues before moving to next processing phase.• Led the strategic planning process with the Executive Team focused on identifying 1-3-5 year company goals/objectives and driving those down through the organization.

Key metrics and areas of accountability include P&L delivery, safety, COGS reduction, overhead spending, quality/compliance, and customer service.Led Operations group to double digit improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), quality defect rates, labor efficiency, material usage and PM completion through system of tiered accountability focused on regular KPI review, performance management and visual tracking.• Collaborated with Technical group leading projects to transfer multiple API vendors without supply interruption.• Worked with Commercial and R&D groups to launch new products, including multiple NDA’s, across multiple markets around the world including the largest ever pan-European OTC launch.• Implemented continuous improvement team to lead projects utilizing Lean principles focused on improving site financial and Quality metrics. Received Lean Sigma Green Belt training and certification.• Member of corporate Operational Excellence team implementing Direct Labor Productivity Diagnostics in conjunction with McKinsey Consultants in facilities in New Jersey, South Carolina, Ireland, England and South Africa. Diagnostics focused on direct labor improvements through workload balancing, Non-Value Added activity reduction and creative scheduling. Benefit delivery totaled in excess of $15 million.• Received President’s Roll of Honor awards for Diagnostic project and critical product re-launch.
