With a business card and a promise, Brian took his working experience with a number of healthcare systems in Minnesota including Mayo and started 44North twenty years ago. Today, with the help of over 100 employees, Brian's business has become the largest privately held benefit providers in the state servicing over 100,000 lives and over 400 businesses. For each of these businesses Brian see’s 44North role as a critical piece in helping improve people’s lives by providing clarity for much of the confusion that exists, removing many of the unnecessary medical bills that occur and providing medical pricing transparency that unfortunately healthcare is deeply lacking. Although the dream of being a lead singer in a chart topping band or going toe-to-toe in the final round of the Masters for the coveted green jacket may be behind Brian, each day he still chases his dreams. Anyone whom has met Brian understands he loves being Active (never to be confused as a cruise control guy), living each day with Passion and a Commitment to doing things right. With the love and support of his two boys (Alec and Aidan) and Patti (his wife whom he met in college) they so value being able to do as much as they do as a family from Church on Sundays, Summers up at Burt Lake or attempting to drain the game winning three pointer with the boys school basketball teams.
