After the loss of his father in the spring of 2022, Brian elected to take time off to evaluate personal passions and explore new opportunities.Over the previous 20+ years, Brian has held a variety of senior executive roles including Chief Revenue Officer at Acceller, Inc.; Division Vice President at HCA Healthcare Continental Division and Senior Vice President, Business Development for HealthONE’s Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO,. Strategy / Planning: This is my passion – identifying opportunities within the marketplace and developing the plan that will achieve the desired results. I have over 25 years of diverse experience developing and executing critical growth strategies: As the Service Line Lead for Orthopedics at Swedish Medical Center, I designed and executed the growth strategy that generated over 8% market growth in Orthopedics and over 18% growth in Total Joint Replacement in 2018. As the Service Line Lead for Neurosciences, I collaborated with Medtronic to design and execute on a “Mazor Relaunch” plan that generated over 54% growth.Business Development / Strategic Relationships: This is my natural orientation – to meet and engage executive leaders to identify their “unrecognized needs” and work collaboratively with their team to build effective operating plans that meet the needs of the organizations. Through effective business development, I expanded the Erdman Healthcare market for ASC’s, MOB’s and Hosp facilities by over $60M in 3 years. More recently, I leveraged my relationships with industry partners (Medtronic / Synthes / Stryker) to identify the top five independent spine surgeons in the Denver Market. I proactively targeted all five at the start of the COVID pandemic in March – successfully connected with two of those surgeons – quickly developed a rapport with both and ultimately converted one surgeon into the most productive spine surgeon at Swedish Medical Center in 2020.Execution / Focused Metrics: This is where the rubber meets the road – a strategic plan is only as good as the team’s ability to execute. My planning process breaks down each initiative into manageable components where I set clear goals and objectives with established delivery dates and hold people accountable for the results. I work cross-functionally to build consensus, aligning teams around achieving results.
