Greetings! Brian here – your friendly neighborhood data translator. I take vague business problems, translate them into fodder for data-driven tools to solve, and then translate those solutions back to business stakeholders with clear communication explaining what I’ve built. At a glance:👉🏻 I’m a leader in data science transformation. That means I create tools that solve problems, mentor data analysts, and use data to recommend changes in operations of our $3.1B professional services business🎯 I’ve solved problems with customer segmentation (clustering), time series forecasting (fbprophet, SARIMAX), and market basket analysis (association rules), but my favorite project is leading an internal alerting system that sits on all our CRM tools and acts as a second set of eyes for thousands of project managers and technical specialists📚 I’m always learning – that’s why I’ve gained experience working with big data (PySpark), on prescriptive analytics (process mining and simulations in Celonis), and even was a winner of the Dell Data Science Council’s Generative AI HackathonLEADERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS★ I lead a 5-person team behind PVAS, an internal alerting system for all our frontline resources in Global Professional Services. PVAS has automatically sent 70k+ alerts and has expedited $20M for revenue recognition, directly saved $30k a month in cancellation avoidance, and quickly increased adoption of new cost-saving policies★ I was the youngest person elected President of the Dell Master Speakers Toastmasters Club, where I managed a 10-person board. Under my leadership, we grew to record highs when most clubs were folding. I volunteered as an Area Director, acting as a liaison between club presidents and district leadership. I established new clubs and held a conference about corporate culture and strategy★ I facilitate the PVAS Roundtable, where I’ve brought reps from every team and region. We drive standardization of policies, operational excellence, and automation. I also lead the Roundtable of American Data Scientists – ROADS – that promotes continuing education on data analytics, generative AI, and machine learningFAVORITE TOOLS📌 I code in Python. That means Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Statsmodels, PyTorch, Seaborn, PySpark, etc.☁️ I have cloud computing experience through Microsoft Azure and Databricks, both as a user and admin✔️ Every data professional needs some SQL and Git experience. I work on PostgreSQL systems and am an administrator on Azure DevOps and GitLab ►►There’s lots more to say – please send a message and let’s chat!
