I will be receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Mississippi in May of 2025. I have spent the past two summers at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in the department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior working hands-on in research. This opportunity has taught me skills of critical thinking, problem solving, technical skills, and attention to detail. I presented posters of the findings in the lab for both summers which improved my public speaking, scientific writing, and networking capabilities. I have also spent time shadowing doctors in the emergency room of a rural critical access hospital as well as in nursing homes and rural clinics. This allowed me to improve my medical knowledge and patient communication. I have been named to the University of MIssissippi’s Chancellor's Honor Roll for the past 6 consecutive semesters. In addition to my classes, I have spent time tutoring the younger members of my fraternity.My goal is to use skills I have obtained to excel in Medical School and become a practicing physician where I can benefit others' lives through medicine.
