-Helped close Ookla’s first 5G coverage award, doubling a major mobile carrier's marketing spendA major mobile carrier needed a trusted source to back up their claims of 5G coverage, but that information wasn’t officially available in Android yet. Through rigorous testing, I developed a way to gather this information before any of Ookla’s competitors, resulting in a doubling of their Q3 2020 brand licensing spend.-Secured Ookla’s first DaaS and brand licensing deal with a chipset manufacturerDespite not having the budget, a chipset manufacturer's network analysis team wanted to purchase Ookla data. Their marketing team had a massive budget, but Ookla had never created any kind of hardware based marketing award. Identifying this need, I extracted chipset information from Ookla’s raw data and built a report comparing devices with their chipset to their competitors. The two teams bundled their budgets and signed a contract worth more than $500K.-Designed, hired, and trained the Technical Account Manager team for the Speedtest Powered suite Following the successful launch of Speedtest Powered, I hired and trained a team of Technical Account Managers dedicated to selling and supporting the products. Within three months the team was mostly independent and after six months I was able to completely let them take over supporting the product.

I started out as just another concrete laborer but after proving myself with a couple thousand feet of curb and gutter or sixteen hours trying to save some sidewalk in a December rainstorm, I gained the trust of our front office. With a lifetime of being an IT hobbyist and a little side work here and there, I offered to fix the desktops in the office just prior to them being taken to a big box store for repair. After seeing the savings immediately, I became the default "IT guy." I provided desktop support and built out a mesh network over a multi-building campus when Tyee expanded. I provided purchase recommendations and deployed a network printing solution rather than maintaining five desktop printers. All-in-all, pretty unheard of for someone in the Laborers' Union.
