As a student body representative, I communicated student needs and interests to the CSUF administration and the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. President - Evolutionary and Genomics Research EAGR Lab is dedicated to outreach in low-income and minority communities to give children the opportunity to participate in STEM. We collaborate with programs such as Kids 2 College on campus and the Fullerton Library's after-school program to achieve this goal. Our organization has also created a children's book about a fictional fruit fly, developed in collaboration with the art department. We incorporate this book into our outreach by donating copies and reading it aloud to children in after-school programs, sharing our own experiences in STEM.The purpose of our club is to inspire and encourage children to get involved in STEM and pursue higher education.
