Key accomplishments: • Launched and led a new Scrum Team. Enabled noteworthy increase in net-earnings on a sales channel with annual sales in the $100s-of-millions-range. This effort was undertaken to attract and retain the business of the owners of select customer properties by improving an AT&T internal web-based application. Led Scrum Team to implement high value improvements in reporting, which improved leadership’s ability to make better business decisions. Our team also made significant enhancements to the UX/UI components of this internal customer’s website to improve its usefulness, and its ability to quickly and accurately process data. Won “Rave” award for leading this effort. • Serving as a Scrum Master, led team to deliver an innovative proof-of-concept augmented reality experience. It allowed for customers to see in an augmented-reality-experience information relating to cell-phone features, “liking” AT&T products in Facebook, and “dipping” into Facebook to understand what words and terms would best connect with a specific customer. Won the “Outstanding Team Contributor” award for this, and AT&T earned a patent. • Appointed Scrum Master for one of the best Scrum Teams at AT&T, one that had just won Nielsen Norman’s app design award. The app is a smart phone accessible knowledge repository on which all AT&T brick-and-mortar store sales force representatives rely. Efforts included leading the Scrum Team to upgrade the app from supporting only the iPhone OS to also supporting the Android OS. • Coached AT&T IT Scrum Masters and Scrum Teams in the effective use of Scrum, including AT&T’s cloud services development area. • Implemented as Project Manager many projects related to customers needs and government expectations. Many projects had NPVs well over $1M.

Core responsibility was to identify, recruit, prepare and oversee day-of delivery of 24 workshops in the field of (or in support of) project management. Event was attended by approximately 350 people at the Hyatt O'Hare. Recruited and trained a volunteer staff of seven, who reported directly to me, in addition to our 18 speakers. Our topics ranged from words from the Project Manager of PMI's® project of the year '11 to two speakers on Agile (one of which was myself).

As a volunteer, annually planned and deployed a concessions stand that served over 1,000 customers, in one day. We specialized in offering friendly service and excellent product offerings that made people want to come back the next year. Blended support from local restaurants (directly negotiated payment rates), and volunteer student-parent service providers to continue our march to excellence, Earned the certification of the local health department (this was the first time certification was requested/granted on first attempt). The bottom line is "Music Bowl" is an annual event that hosted over 15 marching bands from across Illinois. A key component as to why these bands come back year after year is the excellent eating experience we provided and our friendly staff. Music Bowl remains the leading funding source for the Downers Grove South Marching Band.
