As Head of Finance, I oversee all Finance related functions for Empower Global, a socially-immersive marketplace to discover and shop the world’s best Black-owned brands. This partnership is driven by Sean Combs through Combs Enterprises, and is supported by a partnership with Salesforce.The marketplace will connect shoppers with high-quality Black brands in a social setting, and will bring resources and services to Black brands in its portfolio to help these brands scale and grow. The Marketplace is built in partnership with Salesforce using its Commerce Cloud technology, along with numerous Black-led partnerships.My responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Overall responsibility for the financial management, cost control, and cash management of the company.- Overseeing of the company’s financial strategy and providing strategic financial advice and proposals to the CEO, the rest of the Senior Management Team, and the Board.- Overseeing of all international accounting and tax matters in regions of operation
