As a seasoned consultant with over 20 years of experience in cold chain logistics, including the last 5 years focused on cell and gene therapy. I specialize in helping supply chain and process engineering professionals in highly regulated industries. My goal is to build strong relationships with clients and assist them in finding ideal solutions for cold chain logistics. I strive to be a trusted partner, helping clients navigate the specialized needs for cold chain logistics, whether using Cold Chain Technologies (CCT) solutions or not.I began my career at Amgen, where I spent nine formative years. I was mentored by Don Wilson, one of the best thought leaders in cold chain engineering. During this time, I learned invaluable lessons in leadership, engineering fundamentals, process improvements, and project management. I was the primary author of the ISTA 7E Standard 20, the first industry standard on insulated shipper qualification, and have since co-authored several more industry guidance documents.I eventually managed Amgen’s global cold chain engineering team. From there, I helped form and became a principal at Modality Solutions before joining Kite Pharma, focusing on packaging issues in the emerging cell and gene space. At Kite, I had the honor of leading a talented group of engineers, solving complex problems such as broken bags, apheresis shipper deviations, label adhesion at cryogenic temperatures, and scaling shipping processes for cell and gene therapies.My colleagues will agree that I am inspired by streamlining processes and mentoring young engineers. I thrive in environments with apparent chaos, where people are consistently behind the eight ball. I educate management on how these factors are typically signs of broken or inefficient processes.
