Provide care in an acute medical/ surgical unit. Care was provided to a variety of patients with multiple co morbidities. Some examples of the diagnosis are as follows; atrial fibrillation, exacerbation of COPD, heart failure, stroke, cancer, sepsis and palliative care.

Provided care to clients through medication administration and direct observation therapy. Caring for clients includes obtaining comprehensive health histories at admission to identify any current or past medical complications. Other care provided includes immunization programs, treatment of chronic conditions and infectious conditions, mental health counseling, addictions treatment and rehabilitation. Also provided education to client’s healthy lifestyle choices and prevention of infectious diseases.

Orthopedic post-operative surgery (KIDD6), Providing care primarily to patients waiting orthopedic surgery or post-operative care to patients who received orthopedic surgery. Care was provided through; medication administration, iv therapy including initiating, physical assessments, wound assessments and sterile dressing changes, health teaching on signs of infection, oxygen therapy, as well assisted with activities of daily living.
