I led a staff with 10 reports, directing design and project management teams, accounting, estimating, scheduling, signage, and administrative personnel. Meeting with departmental stakeholders, I gathered requirements and implemented strategic plans for a very large mixed-use development with corporate offices, facilities/maintenance HQ, production kitchen facility, team member grilles, warehouse space, chilled water plant, and civil infrastructure. In this role, I prepared RFQs and RFPs, defining requirements to identify general contractors and interfaced with government AHJ’s, neighboring businesses, and external resources as a direct report to the Executive Project Director for ‘EPIC Universe’.Achievements▪ Assessed budget to improve cost containment and planned delivery schedule, playing a lead role in driving efficient engineering to increase bottom-line ROI.▪ Played key role in designing two Tier III data centers, advanced security systems, digital signage, gate entry, parking/traffic flow plans, and other mission-critical infrastructure in addition to core building responsibilities.▪ Optimized architectural design, leading logistic studies and test-fits to ensure successful short and long-term outcomes; collaborated with operations and industrial engineering to consistently maximizing efficiencies. ▪ Established and nurtured critical relationships with government officials, adjacent businesses, and numerous vendors, gaining cooperation and negotiating agreements that streamlined processes enhancing project flow. ▪ Identified optimal process flows and foodservice equipment (FSE) for 225K sq. ft. production facility and refrigeration warehouse; new cost-effective central system has capacity to feed visitors at all 4 Universal parks.▪ Spearheaded design of counter-terrorism security measures to protect park guests from potential threats utilizing advanced technology; worked with experts to ensure proper implementation of safety solutions.
