Designed by educators, panOpen Education offers a courseware platform to independent educational publishers and academic institutions that can improve learning outcomes, expand opportunities for new courses, future-proof their learning platforms (including through the use of generative AI and LLMs), and dramatically lower IT budgets. The platform is branded as the partner's own while panOpen provides ongoing backend support, from pre-production ingestion of content, through to onboarding and training of faculty, and customer support for all users.There are five notable features of the platform: The toolset allows faculty to customize courses, including the ability to merge their own multimedia content and that sourced elsewhere with the publisher's content, providing a single pedagogical flow of the course materials.The UX experience for faculty and students, including a generative AI-powered learning coach, interactive assessments, analytics and study tools, is highly intuitive, easy to use, device-responsive, and meets ADA standards.The cloud-based application integrates into most LMSs, enabling single sign on, gradebook synching, deep linking, and the auto-generation of courses from the LMS course shell.

Acquired by VitalSource Technologies in March, 2023, Akademos is a leading provider of online bookstores and marketplaces for colleges and universities. The company offers academic administrators, faculty, and students the tools for the adoption, use, and analysis of educational content. As founder and CEO, I was responsible for strategy, company vision, raising venture capital and private equity, and for hiring and managing the team.

Cambridge University Press engaged me to translate lectures by German philosopher Immanuel Kant for the Cambridge edition of Kant's works. Yale's Department of Philosophy generously granted me an unpaid visiting fellowship so that I could use Yale's resources to support the project.
