The position was held in Dr. Fahey's lab at Weil Cornell Medical College. Daily responsibilities included consenting patients, processing the specimens obtained from patients by the standards enforced by New York Presbyterian pathology lab, tissue banking of said specimens, as well as deriving primary cell cultures from these tissues. These primary cultures would undergo extensive drug screenings as well as being involved in the establishment of Xenograft models in order to elucidate the therapeutic potential of experimental CAR-T's. Standard laboratory practices including western, PCR, RT-qPCT, immunocytochemistry, colony formation, and scratch assays were also conducted.
