About Brian Yanish

I'm a children's Author, Illustrator, and Senior Product/Program Designer. I thrill at the challenge of building worlds, telling stories and finding ways to inspire/engage kids re-think the way they see the world.I've been fortunate to work for Jim Henson Productions, train as a special effects mold maker, write and perform comedy, and design educational software, toys, accessories, apparel, and other consumer products for the children's market. In 2007, I created ScrapKins, a Recycled Arts program and IP that inspires kids to see the creative potential in everyday junk through hands-on STEAM based workshops and interactive building experiences. As a presenter/educator, I've shared Arts Enrichment programs at schools and institutions around the world and created programming and workshops for Sesame Workshop, Whole Foods, Seventh Generation, The American Museum of Natural History, The Skirball Museum, NY Hall of Science, Maryland Science Center, Boston Children’s Museum, Maker Faire, and Scholastic Afterschool.
