Hello, My name is Brian and I am currently at BIOLA University studying Marketing Management. Prior coming to BIOLA, I had the opportunity to work as a Sale Associate at J.Crew and Nike. I was fortunate to work with amazing and successful people who are familiar with the apparel industry. Personally, it was a dream of mine to work for Nike and I learned many sides of Nike that I never knew before. After graduating, I hope to work for the Nike Headquarters in Oregon and learn more about how they create the amazing storytelling of their products and share to those who are passionate about the brand. Aside from school and my passion for sportswear apparel, I am currently learning Japanese. It all started from my joy and love for Japanese animation (short for anime). Almost all the time, I would watch anime and understand the characters from the English subtitles. As I watched more anime and got interested in Japanese comics (manga), I got curious of learning Japanese. To really appreciate the art and beauty of Japanese storytelling in their animation and comics, I thought it would be beneficial to learn the original language of these amazing Japanese artworks. English translation may sometimes not accurately convey what each characters are saying and in order to understand what they are truly expressing, I thought it would be better to learn the language they speak. As I am learning Japanese, I also got curious with traditional Japanese culture. I began to get interested in their social values, customs, and their food. I am also currently interested in teaching English in Japan so that I can learn and know more about the Japanese culture.
